SpringRock is founded and managed by Oliver Hutley and Rory Chichester who are sector specialists and have worked together for over ten years.
We have spent our careers owning and operating a number of successful companies across the built environment sector and together, we bring a combination of deep industry knowledge and private equity and M&A experience to the companies and strategies we invest in.

Oliver Hutley
Founder & Director
Oliver is a Co-Founder and Director of SpringRock. He is responsible for origination, investment structuring and overall business strategy and is a member of the Investment Committee, alongside Rory Chichester.
Over the last 10 years, he has been responsible for a wide range of real estate transactions through the full life cycle of acquisition, construction, joint-ventures, asset management and sale. Oliver also has substantial experience at an operating level having acquired, managed and successfully grown asset back operating companies and businesses in the support services and facilities management sectors.
He started his career at Allsop LLP where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) working within the development agency and receivership teams following the 2008 recession. Oliver holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Exeter and an MSc in Real Estate Appraisal from the University of Reading.
Rory Chichester
Founder & Director
Rory is a Co-Founder and Director of SpringRock. He is responsible for origination, M&A, structuring and Spring Rock’s investor relations programme and is a member of the Investment Committee, alongside Oliver Hutley.
Since partnering with Oliver Hutley in 2011, Rory has gained extensive experience identifying, structuring and executing investments across a range of sectors including building compliance, real estate management, construction and housebuilding, both as an operator and investor. His particular areas of expertise are in M&A, capital raising (equity & debt), investor relations and corporate strategy.
Previously, he worked for Strand Hanson, an independent merchant bank and for Kandahar Group, a UK real-estate led joint venture between co-founder of The Carphone Warehouse PLC, David Ross and Morgan Stanley PLC. Rory holds a BSc in Real Estate Management from UCEM.
